Problem

Rapid UAS and cUAS innovation has outpaced our ability to deliver and sustain mission-effective systems on the battlefield. Today’s cutting-edge UAS platform will be obsolete with the enemy’s cUAS deployment next month. At the tactical level, US UAS systems are considered both challenged against enemy EW environments and orders of magnitude too expensive against mission requirements. Our cUAS systems consistently fail to sufficiently track and identify adversarial UAS platforms. 

Solution

Our ability to regain and maintain technological superiority on the battlefield requires us to innovate and iterate faster than our adversaries. The Arena UAS/cUAS Testbed replicates the conditions encountered on the modern battlefield with robust infrastructure for operations, sensor deployments, urban/rural environments, and a varied terrain. The data and lessons learned from the Arena enable our partners to deliver and sustain mission-effective solutions at the highest TRL levels.
